We are extremely grateful to the Gadreau family for this grant award for the 2026 USA Blind Hockey Classic! We are honored to be chosen as the local hosts for this year's event. The legacies of Johnny and Matty will be honored as we continue to grow the game of hockey with the visually impaired community in their home state of New Jersey and beyond.
Announcing our first-ever grant!
The Gaudreau Family Foundation is proud to award $50,213 to support the 2026 USA Hockey Blind Classic, hosted by the Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association this November 20-22 in Voorhees, NJ - bringing together blind and visually impaired hockey players from across the nation.
“John & Matty believed hockey belonged to everyone, no matter who you were or where you came from. Supporting the USA Hockey Blind Classic was an easy decision, it’s a chance to grow the game they loved. We know John & Matty would be proud to see their names attached to something that opens doors for others,” – Jane, Guy, Kristen & Katie Gaudreau.
This grant, and the work of our foundation, wouldn’t be possible without the Gaudreau Family 5K Run/Walk & Family Day and every single person who shows up to honor the lives and legacies of John & Matty.
This grant is proof of what our community makes possible.
