Richardson’s Martial Arts Academy honors all service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We will be closed today, Saturday, May 23rd and Memorial Day Monday, May 25th. We will open on Tuesday, May 26th on our regular class schedule. See you on the mats!

Richardson’s Martial Arts Academy wishes a Happy Heavenly Birthday to our beloved Sahbumnim Master Mark Causerano. Master Causerano would have been 67 years old today. We marvel at all of the good that Master Causerano managed to do for so many in his short lifetime. We feel the effects of his passion and dedication to the art of Tang Soo Do, combined with his love of his students and his wicked sense of humor in our studio every day. We continue to honor his legacy by showing the same devotion to our students, our training, our Region, and to the World Tang Soo Do Association. Since his passing, 9 of Master Causerano’s students in our studio have achieved black belt ranks including Master Zuberi Richardson (Sah Dan Master), Willie Richardson (Sah Dan Instructor), Margaret Phillips Richardson (E Dan), Cynthia Folio (E Dan), Lydia Thompson (Sam Dan), Ryan Spencer (E Dan, Sam Dan Candidate), Sophie Rutan (E Dan), Quamir Jackson (E Dan), and Derek Camp (Cho Dan). We are sure there are many others! What an incredible legacy! Happy heavenly birthday Master Causerano! We love and miss you!

A Tang Soo Do legend! Rest in peace Chuck Norris!

The World Tang Soo Do Association honors the incredible legacy of Chuck Norris. Our founder, Grandmaster Jae C. Shin, was proud to be his original teacher at Osan Air Base in Korea, where he earned his Cho Dan #2819 in March 1961.

We are honored that he remains an eternal part of our history. Our thoughts are with his family and the entire martial arts community as we mourn the loss of a pioneer, a student of our Grandmaster, and a friend to all. Tang Soo!
