Waacking is a dance created in the clubs of LA during the disco era. It was made and pioneered by Black men living on the West Coast. It’s loved by many for it joyous, flirtatious and bold nature. It’s dance style about flare, character and sexiness. Technically, it is centered around poses, intricate arm maneuvers and grooves. It’s a great style experienced beginners and above. You’ll walk away from waacking class feeling a sense of jubilee and love. Come get funky with Waacking at UMA

You Don’t Have to Go Home, But… (2024) is an ode to dancing bodies, a grimy love letter to Philadelphia’s hip hop scene, and a story about what happens after the DJ plays the last song. Composed of a decade’s worth of frenzied, funky footage from the legendary Second Sundae party, this documentary film follows three dancers on and off the dance floor as they navigate how to pursue their passion in a world that doesn’t value what makes us free.
