On Labor Day (Monday, 9/7), The Salvation Army Kroc Center of Philadelphia will be open from 7:00 AM until 12:00 PM, with pool hours operating from 7:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Wishing you a wonderful Labor Day weekend!!

Many thanks to Shaun Plotnick, Alex Aponte, and the dedicated team from Temple University Health System for presenting such an informative and much needed workshop for the Golden Gems at The Salvation Army Kroc Center.

Their presentation on depression and aging provided valuable information, practical strategies, and important resources to help older adults recognize the signs of depression, reduce isolation, and maintain emotional well being.

The Golden Gems were able to share their personal experiences with depression and it became a special bonding moment amongst the group. The Temple University Health Team listened intently and gave valuable support to the Gems.

The Accelerated Athlete Youth Strength & Conditioning Program is designed to help athletes ages 10-18 become stronger, faster, and more confident.

It's a bird...it's a plane...IT'S A DRONE!

This summer, Grace3 Technologies LLC , Skydio , The Hidden Genius Project , and Philadelphia Police Department held a workshop at our turf field training young men in Philadelphia how to fly drones!

Grace3 Technologies will be returning to the Kroc Center for our upcoming Open House! They will bring their drones and allow our guests to try out drone flying without any previous experience! You will not want to miss this!

Join us and Grace3 Technologies on Saturday, September 12th to fly drones and see all that the Kroc Center has to offer at our Open House from 10am-1pm.
