UT Austin Robot Soccer Team UT Austin Villa is led by Prof. Peter Stone at the University of Texas at Austin.
The team competes in the Standard Platform League (SPL). The team placed 3rd at RoboCup 2013 after winning the RoboCup international and US Open championships in 2012. UT Austin Villa has also won the 2009 and 2010 US Open championships. The team also finished third in the 2010 RoboCup competition and fourth in the 2009 RoboCup competition.

UT Austin Villa defeats Dutch Nao Team 7:0 to advance to the quarterfinals. We will face defending champions Nao-Team HTWK at 13:45 local time (10:45pm US Central Time).

UT wins again! A hard fought match against up-and-comer SPQR Team resulted in a 2:0 decision. SPQR advanced the ball to our goal line multiple times -- and we were down to just 1 robot on the field at one point -- but our defense held tight.

UT wins the first match 5:0! Next game vs. UNSW Sydney RoboCup at 16:00 AEST (1:00am CT)
UT takes a 2:0 lead into half. The team almost scored a 3rd goal right before halftime, but VAR determined it didn't fully cross the line.

UT Austin Villa kicks off game 1 of the RoboCup 2019 campaign against Camellia Dragons.
A quick goal has the team up 1:0 but UT has called a timeout to try to solve a bug in the code.

Watching the 3D Simulation Final 🤞
It's been a tough RoboCup 2018. In the first round robin:
- Lost 0:1 vs HULKs
- Lost 1:2 Berlin United
And in the second round robin:
- Lost 1:2 vs UNSW Australia RoboCup
- Lost 0:3 vs Nao Devils
In each of the losses, we had the ball in the opponent goalbox, but couldn't convert.
However, we won our playoff game vs. NomadZ to make it into the quarterfinals. And, joining us in the quarterfinals: HULKs, Berlin United, rUNSWift, and Nao Devils. So, we have practically been playing the quarterfinals all tournament long!
