I made a thing! Hey Kids! We're doing this a little different this year. We need at least 15 registered & paid members before we declare the boat a go. Race day is Saturday, October 6. Cost $130. Probably co-ed. Deadline for (us) registration is April 6. HIt me up with any questions!

Let me tell you a little story about a boat. There are actually many stories about this boat (and many of you know them😳) but today is this story of this year's St. Thomas of Villanova Holy OARders.

Every year the boat is a little bit different, but for a good three or four years it wasn't too different. A new face here or there, but for the most part it ran like clockwork, and going in to this year, I thought it was going to be the same.

And then God laughed at me. Which he does. Often. And my boat was no longer "my" boat. And things weren't always easy and He threw some personal bumps in the road to screw with my stress levels. But. BUT. The new boat!!

New faces and BFFs and fun people and enthusiasm and seeing the festival in a new light. I have to honestly say it was one of the most fun days I've had down there. And not because we won, because we didn't. Lol!! But because the people were awesome. Some hadn't met the rest of the boat until we were lining up at the docks. Some hadn't been on a dragon boat until 8:30 yesterday morning!

And as one of my new besties Rachael (who unbeknownst to me walked very far in the dark to hop a ride to the river and will next time NOT) said, she was happy to join our little ragtag team. And here's the kicker. While we didn't win, we did GREAT! And I hope that the newbies come back and bring back all that enthusiasm. I can't imagine how we'd do with some actual practices under our belt!

Thank you so very to everyone on the boat and thank you to everyone (esp my fearless drummer and biggest cheerleader and my rock Steve Bowers) who listened to me stress. You all not only made it happen, but made it amazing!!! 😀 Are you ready ready for next year?!!

Crappy weather. Half a boat. A couple total newbies. And yet...Nice job to the awesome folks who made it out Tuesday. We're ready ready! Thanks to Noel who has been our loudest cheerleader and videographer!

This is what is happening in Ardmore today! :) Sorry for the short notice. I just found out myself.

Hey Kids! The Q&A at Main Line United Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at 2:30 is still on. However, there is a Bike Race in Ardmore that is closing Lancaster Ave. from Ardmore Ave to Rittenhouse Place. Greenfield is just before Ardmore Ave, so please anticipate traffic and parking issues. If you feel the need to bail, just let me know. Lol! However, there is beer garden or truck and things for kids and food, from what I hear, as well. The more you know...

Team USA Dragon Boat coming to Riverfront Park Friday Sat & Sunday, They will be o n the water Friday from 3 to 4:30pm/Sat 9am to 11am & 3:4:30pm/Sunday 9an to 11am. These paddlers are all testing for a seat on the boat to compete in China this October. Stop by
