Low Tide Toss
Coming soon... Low Tide Toss was created by George Johnson, Jr. & Hughie Gallagher in the 1970's along the coast of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
After 40 years, the game has been redesigned and will be hitting the shelves this year!
Low Tide Toss is a beach game that requires a court with two holes 30 feet apart. We recommend that you build your court on the smooth, sloping sand heading into the water that is most often seen during "Low Tide." (But you could also play it on perfectly flat sand too.....or your backyard if you really wanted to). You'll want to bring a tool to smooth out the court in between games like a rake, broom, squeegee, or whatever else you can find. Occasionally, we used to accomplish this by dragging a boogie-board with one of us Johnson kids on top....
The object of the game is to roll, toss, throw, punt or land the game ball anyway you can think of into the opposing goal..... Switch sides when one team hits 4 goals, play to 7 win-by-two...... If a team makes two goals in a row, they get the ball back for a Freebee Trick-shot of their choice (Left/Right Handed, Around-the-back, Under-the-Legs etc.) Play One-on-One or Two-On-Two. When the official "Low Tide Toss" set goes on sale, it will come with: (1) Two hole moldings that make it wicked easy to dig the holes and also prevent the holes from falling apart during game play; (2) Two 30' Rope Court Boundaries, complete with ground stakes, that makes setting up the court ridiculously quick; (3) One Low Tide Toss Gameball (its a softball with our Logo on it); and (4) One mesh bag to carry all the stuff to and from the beach. Not sure exactly how much it will cost yet but we're estimating somewhere in the ballpark of $39.99 retail. (That's what KanJam costs too)
