Prince Zota Earns Call-Up to National U-17 Training Camp

Prince Zota has secured a place in the Liberia National Under-17 training camp after impressing scouts during the Liberia Football Association's Talent Development Scheme held in Gbarnga on Sunday, July 11, 2026.

The Talent Development Scheme, organized by the Liberia Football Association, is designed to identify and develop promising young footballers from across the country for inclusion in the national U-17 team. The scouting exercise in Gbarnga once again highlighted exceptional young talent.

Zota, who represents both William V.S. Tubman Gray and Gbarnga Lions Academy, emerged as the only player from B**g County selected during the scouting program. His selection has been described as a significant achievement for the county and a testament to his outstanding performances on the field.

This is definitely going to be my last input in this GOAT debate.

If you listen to it with emotions, you may misjudge it.

But, no matter whose side you are, I want you to read with some level of logic.

Firstly, any human being who says Ronaldo is a better footballer than Messi is lying to himself.

Forget banter, Messi is a footballer on a class of his own.

I doubt if there is any known footballer now that possess the kind of skill he possesses.

He doesn’t make an effort to play the game of football.

It comes to him naturally.

This is an established opinion.

He showed it from the first ever time he played even as a child.

Will anyone be surprised to see Lamine Yamal excel in football? No!
He has shown that he is incredibly talented.

But, when we are talking about The Greatest of All Time (G.O.A.T), it transcends beyond the game of football.

It about the impact of your display on human race and life.

Ronaldo has more impact and influence than Messi.

Ronaldo is like a symbol to 60% of the World’s population.

Ronaldo represents possibilities.

Ronaldo is hope to the common man.

He exemplifies the fact that everyone can have a space at the top even when all odds are against you.

Ronaldo played in 5 Leagues of the world and dominated the world from the 5 of them.

Messi played in 3 leagues of the world and dominated the world from just 1 one.

He went to a moribund league and turned it around.

Ronaldo is richer than Lionel Messi.

Ronaldo is by far more influential than Messi.

Just take a look at what happened in the US just because of Ronaldo.

Messi is the BEST player in history.

Ronaldo is GREATEST player in history.

Greatness and Being the Best is not the same.

BUCHANAN - ‎The Grand Bassa football community has once again been left disappointed after two of its three representatives in the 2025/26 LFA National Third Division League Playoffs were eliminated in the opening round of the competition.

‎Defending Grand Bassa champions Loopers FC saw their playoff journey come to an end after suffering a 3-1 penalty shootout defeat to Thunder FC at the Dorris Williams Sports Stadium on Wednesday. The second leg ended 1-1, leaving the aggregate score tied at 3-3 following a 2-2 draw in the first leg. Thunder FC held their nerve in the shootout to secure qualification to the next round.

‎On the other hand, Young United FC also bowed out of the competition after falling 2-1 on aggregate to FC Quincy. The youthful Grand Bassa side lost the first leg 1-0 in Buchanan before battling to a 1-1 draw in the return leg at the Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata, Margibi County.

‎With Grand Bassa hosting the National Third Division League Playoffs for the first time since 2019, the early exits have brought disappointment to football fans across the county. The results also bring back memories of previous campaigns in which local clubs Giba FC, Future Star and Wee Defender FC failed to capitalize on home advantage, leaving supporters hoping for a breakthrough that is yet to come.

‎Grand Bassa's hopes now rest solely on Des Moines United FC, the county's runners-up, who remain the only club from the county still in the competition. The team now carries the expectations of the county as it seeks to keep Grand Bassa's dream of securing promotion to the LFA Second Division League alive.
