I was inspired to become a certified and specialized Accessible Yoga teacher after being fat shamed in front of an entire class by a yoga teacher. After decades of yoga practice and being a certified yoga instructor was taking a yoga class when a thin fellow student came up to me and what she thought was encouraging was actually her making a stereotypical assumption and very patronizingly said, “You did very well!” This is why I started
the FB page You Don’t Have to be Teeny to be a Yogini. My company has “morphed” into accessible yoga for not only fat folks but the frail elderly, folks with cerebral palsy, and folks with dementia. Basically folks who didn’t think they could do yoga. Hannah Y 🌜aring Arts🕉️❤️🙏🏽

Feeling blessed to return to teaching Chair Yoga in a skilled nursing facility in Philly after a long illness. With Accessible Yoga and a Quiquong sensibility my students really engaged with this practice: “drawing rainbows 🌈 in the sky with ribbons.”It was so beautiful 😍
