Well its that time a year again for the USATF Junior Olympics. We are fortunate to have 4 athletes who are scheduled to compete and another 2 who qualified however are unable to attend. While we are embarking on this journey, other members of our team will be representing Philadelphia at the Keystone State Games.

Completed the Hershey Youth Outdoor Nationals which had more than 6400 youth track and field entries from all over the United States. St. Luke's TC finished the competition with 1 overall first place, a 4th place, a seventh and a 8th. In addition to these medal placements we had 2 9th place finishes. Next up, USATF Region 2 Championships

Congrats to all of our athletes who advanced to the next round to qualify to advance to the JO Games.

Indoor Season ended with a third place overall finish in the 3000 meter race walk from AJ Lofton, a 8th place finish overall from E. Harriott, A seventh place finish from M. Muhammed and a 11th place finish from D. Philpot. All of these performances were posted at the USATF Indoor Nationals

3 St. Luke's High School athletes competed in Christopher Newport University's Holiday Open Track Meet. Senior AJ Lofton won his heat in the 400 meter and Sophomore Emani Harriott finished 9th overall in the Shot Put against Division I, II and III college athletes. Senior Paul Johnson, had a good showing on his rebound from an injury.

We are officially done with USATF and AAU Nationals. I'm extremely proud of all of our athletes for all of their work during our competition season. I want to congratulate AJ on becoming the AAU 3000RW National Champion as well as finishing 3rd overall in the USATF JO Games in the same event. Also congrats are also due to Max B. and Jasmine H on recording their fastest times of the year at Nationals and both Emani DC & Jasmine J for qualifying for Nationals in their first season.
