Masite - Mid-Atlantic Section of ITE

The Western Area of MASITE held a joint meeting on April 28 at the Holiday Inn in Morgantown, WV. The Joint meeting was with ASHE North Central West Virginia and the ITE WVU Student Chapter. Of the 38 attendees, the professionals got to meet and interact with the 18 students of West Virginia University. Amy Staud, PE, PTOE, RSP1 of HDR spoke to a captivated audience on the preliminary design and lengthy process of the Harmony Grove Interchange along I-79 just north of I-68. What a great topic to share this presentation with all levels of experience!!! Thank you to ASHE NCWV, ITE WVU and the MASITE Sponsors for making this meeting an awesome experience for all!

MASITE hosted featured speakers Steve Gault and Chris May at Ever Grain Brewing Company on May 12th. The presentation provided a deep dive into the updated Traffic Signal Design Handbook for Pennsylvania. The session included detailed information on new approaches to signing and pavement markings at traffic signals and how movement and sequencing for modern controllers are shown on plans.
