I am thrilled to share two very exciting pieces of news! First, we are so honored to receive another Emmy nomination for the Small Business Revolution series!! We were so proud to bring the series home and feature incredible Black-owned Twin Cities businesses for Season 6. I am so grateful to the unbelievable team and the constellation of community leaders it took to make this season so special. Which leads me to the second point - it became clear that this season was the most perfect, beautiful end for the series, and correspondingly my time at Deluxe.

I am excited to share that I am leaving to start my own production studio and consultancy focused on bringing more work like this to life.

I believe that all brands are capable of being publishers. The work we take on will be focused on the pursuit of proving the “Do Well by Doing Good” approach through beautiful storytelling and film. Work that drives business and growth for the brand, engages customers in a breakthrough way, and creates positive change in the world. All at the same time and in concert together.

I will also be carving out more time to focus on my speaking - it’s such an incredible opportunity to share the ” message further and faster to corporations who want to move past brand purpose and take real brand action and to marketing departments that could use some inspiration around how to make this work a reality.

More to come on all of this, but for now I’ll be taking the summer off to enjoy time with our daughter (she still wants to hang out with me and I’ve been told this is a finite window). I’ll be back in the fall when I officially launch the studio and my speaking site.

The Helsinki-Toronto flight was loaded with 400 passengers and only 200 lunches. The airline made a mistake and the crew was in a difficult situation. However, an intelligent flight attendant has come up with an idea. About 30 minutes after take-off, she announced:
"Ladies and gentlemen, I don't know how this happened, but we have 400 passengers on board and only 200 lunches!" “Anyone who is kind enough to give up food for someone else will receive a free unlimited amount of wine throughout the flight.”
Her next announcement was made 6 hours later: "Ladies and Gentlemen, if anyone wants to change their mind, we still have 200 lunches available!" "
Moral of the story: wine drinkers have a very big and kind soul!😊
