Keep an eye on the clock and take care of yourself!
I don’t know about you but my weeks have been FLYING BY!
With the speed at things are going it’s been hard to take care of myself so I’ve been ramping up my efforts to schedule my workouts and make better decisions around eating / drinking.
It doesn’t have to be perfect and rarely is but the accountability and structure is what keeps us on the right path.
Workout, eat, recover and socialize.

My love of coaching is something that I’m proud of and I protect at all costs.
Inside & outside the gym.
Learning how to move, be strong & take care of your body inside and out is not a luxury, it’s a right that everyone should explore 🤙🏼
Come train with me, take a class or chat food with me 😁

New crew, same shenanigans.
So blessed to be able to connect with another circle of professionals.
I have definitely hit the ground running and excited to see the next chapter unfold with this crew!

Drink Management

Protein helps satiety and fats can slow digestion due to its resistance to water in the digestion process.
This is why a steak will make you feel fuller for longer than the same amount of calories from a chicken salad.
This is key if you know a certain part of your day can stretch and you won’t have a chance to eat for a while.
This also is why my athletes or anyone trying to bulk get less fats and more carbs. I want them to start feeling hungry sooner so they can eat more!
On the flip side someone who is focused on leaning out can use this to eat less throughout the day but needs to be sure enough carbs are present to keep energy & performance up.
Does that make sense?
If not, hit me up and we can discuss nutrition coaching 👊🏼

“Calibrate: To adjust precisely for a particular function.”
In order to improve me must constantly evaluate, tweak, adjust & test.

🔑 Goals change, your approach should too.
Sometimes you need more, sometimes you need less depending on what you want and how you feel.

Here is a conversation I am constantly having with clients and a myth I’ve been busting for 12 years now.
Most people feel like the heavier they are the more unhealthy they are.
This is a lack of data. We need to look at the bigger picture in order to determine how “heathy” you are. This includes:
- Lean mass
- Body fat levels
- Visceral fat
- Intra/extra cellular water levels.
Just to name a few.
Most body scanners will give you at least the first two along with your body weight and that is a great starting point.
Let me give you a personal example.
When I was into endurance sports I weighed 185/190 with my body fat at 27-30%. I was undereating, barely slept & everything hurt.
Then I started eating better, lifting more weights and taking care of myself. At the “peak” of my weightlifting career I weighed 206 at 17-18% body fat. I felt better, slept & recovered better. My body felt great and I was slinging barbells.
So before you look at one metric to determine how fit, healthy or in shape you are make sure you are looking at the bigger picture.
Zoom out for a sec. YOU ARE WAY MORE THAN A NUMBER ON A SCALE.
