Course Review: "Conquering the PGA West Stadium Course – A Golfer's Epic Battle!"
🏌️‍♂️⛳️ Brace yourselves, fellow golf enthusiasts! Recently, I embarked on a heart-pounding journey to conquer the infamous PGA West Stadium Course in La Quinta, California. It was a day of golf that turned into an unforgettable adventure, and I just had to share it with all of you.
The front nine seemed deceptively welcoming, but little did I know what Pete Dye had in store. The course tested every ounce of my skill and determination. But it was the back nine that truly separated the contenders from the pretenders, with the notorious 17th hole and its island green looming like a dragon guarding its treasure.
Picture this: Sweeping fairways, relentless bunkers, and water hazards that seemed to have a personal vendetta against my golf balls. And all this set against the stunning backdrop of the Santa Rosa Mountains, creating a visual masterpiece at every turn.
I'm here to tell you, my fellow Redditors, that playing the PGA West Stadium Course isn't just golf—it's an epic battle against nature, your own limits, and the spirit of the game itself. If you're seeking the ultimate golfing adventure, this course is your Everest. From the tips it plays long at 7300 yards and par 72.
Prepare for heart-pounding tales, mesmerizing scenery, and the triumphs and tribulations of a golfer on a quest. This is an experience that will leave you breathless and yearning for your own tee time. Strap in, because this round is one for the ages! Course review: To***co Road Golf Club. Located in Sanford, NC this golf course was the first stop of our trip during Degen Cup week. Playing 6,557 yards from the Ripper tees this course is truly a different layout for this amount of yards. With wasteland everywhere your eyes can see there is trouble everywhere if you struggle with target golf. Everything outside of the fairways is played as wasteland where you can ground your club. With blind shots all over the course this Mike Strantz design gives no reprieve. Their staple 13th hole par 5 was one of my favorite hole designs I have played. The kidney bean green surrounded by a wall of grass is truly amazing. If you get out near the southern pines area it’s a 25 minute ride and worth every bit of the drive. Make sure you bring every golf shot in your bag. You are bound to need them all!! #1
