Do you love your commute to work? There was an accident on mine...
Recently there was a fire that went thru here, and this Saguaro got severe damage at the base. It was surviving, still alive, but with the strong winds out here on a daily basis, this monster just couldn't stand it anymore... haha..see what I did there...(;
It's sad, this was such an awesome, old, cactus. These Saguaro are even considered sacred in some Native cultures.

Have you been to the Cinders in Flagstaff? used this gravel as the test zone for the first moon landing! They actually mapped out the craters on the moon, and used hundreds of pounds of dynamite to make a section of the Cinders an exact replica of surface of the moon!
