What is Tropical Rugby 7s?

Launched in 2017 and held annually each Easter week, the TROPICAL 7s has established itself as one of the world's leading youth rugby 7s tournaments, bringing together school and university age teams from around the world together for a once-in-a-lifetime rugby tour experience under the warm Florida sunshine.



While attracting the world’s elite teams, the competition is open to all teams of various skill levels for boys & girls sides at U18, U16, U14, U12 (boys only) and University/U23 age groups.



With an ideal warm weather environment coupled with professionally maintained grass pitches, TROPICAL 7s provides unparalleled playing experience to ensure players perform at their best. The venue location in Tampa is perfectly situated near Central Florida's tourist attractions and beaches, ensuring the ideal vacation experience for teams, friends, family and all visitors.

Is it too early to recruit?

The Arizona Pumas Elite Rugby will be participating in the Tropical 7s, a high level International Tournament in Tampa FL on April 15th &16th, 2022.

Arizona Pumas Elite Rugby is participating in a National Tournament, Los Angeles 7s Invitational.
We'll be taking a U16 Boys selection and a U18 Girls.
It'll take place on March 5th and 6th in Orange County Great Park
Irvine, CA 92618 at Dignity Health Sports Park field complex 18400 Avalon Boulevard | Carson California 90746.
If you or your kids are interested in participating, message me, Coach John Conte.
Tryouts will be held 2nd and 3rd week of January.

This is the most competitive level you can achieve nationally for rugby. We strongly recommend taking part in this if interested in pursuing your rugby career at higher levels.

Within a month or 2, we'll have a practice to see new players and discuss what tournaments to join for next year.
All will be based on numbers of players per age group. We will be focusing on U16 and U14 boys and U 18 girls.
