Gary Vaynerchuk just finished your audio book on Crush It, and man let me tell ya how close it hit to home. I had been working my 9-5 job with little to no satisfaction, but hey it was a high paying IT account management position. On top of that I had reserve military obligations, and then I also had my side hustle (which started taking over my entire life).
In the book you always recommended investing time into your business, as much of it as possible. It really did get to a point where like in your book you stated family will start to mention how you’re never around anymore, how you’re always busy and of course the list goes on. Well all of that was happening exactly as I was getting to that same chapter in the book, rather than be dissuade I realized hey maybe I’m doing something right. I continued to grind and after about 2 years of not having a life, I was able to move away from my cushy corporate job to do something I loved and was passionate about.
I’m confident that with my persistence I’ll be able to blow out my previous salary out the water, but regardless, the amount of freedom I experience now is what makes it all worth it.
I highly recommend to anyone who has any entrepreneurial tendencies to read this book, and use it as a building block in order to capitalize on an area that you’re passionate about. When you find something that you love to do, it’s truly not work anymore and you find the time flying by. And that’s exactly what I’m experiencing now with my sporting goods store Cactus Sports & Fitness Exchange.

Mad respect to my buddy Vinn over . They’ve been in the valley for almost 10 years teaching some of the best Muay Thai principles and techniques I’ve ever seen. He hit me up over the weekend to get a few items to help some of their heavy weights add some more muscle, so we hooked them up with our commercial grade cable machine that has 400lb weights and some more dumbbells!
