Need a last minute Christmas gift? Hoping to meet new people and play more disc golf in 2023?

We've just received another batch of club tags #51-75 + our supporter "Nomad" tags. Tags are $10 and available this Saturday at Rob Simmons Park (8am).

Whats a nomad tag? A nomad tag is a non numbered support tag for those of you who would like to support our juniors program but may not get out to leagues as much as you'd like. It's a conversation starter on the course and looks great on your bag. *Coordinates will guide you to Rob Simmons Park

All proceeds from the sale of tags goes directly into our juniors programs (tournament fees, players packs, trophies etc)

*Tags are valid through July 31st 2023

Congrats to all of our 2022 Junior Series final winners!

As the year comes to an end we get to reflect on how much fun we've had hosting the 2022 Legion Junior Series for Arizona's youth. It's been a great year and we want to thank you all for your support. For those not in attendance, we hosted the series final Saturday at the Disc-O (Eastmark). Many of you have made it to each and every tournament this year and it has been incredible to watch the mental and physical growth in each competitor. Each and everyone of you are the future of our sport and we look forward to watching you accomplish even more in 2023.

While we are unable to reserve the course as it is first come first serve, we would politely ask that the community create space for these juniors to compete and plan casual rounds to be played in the afternoon/early evening. Thank you in advance

The tee pads at Robert Simmons are curing and coming along nicely. Tentatively, the forms should be removed Monday. In the meantime, please stay off them. You’ll be able to enjoy these spacious 5x11 pads in no time!

ATTENTION LEGION FAMILY AND FRIENDS!

One of our closest friends passed recently and we will be renaming Skyline as;

Robert Simmons Memorial Park

With this, we will be doing a project this Saturday, December 10, 2022 starting at 8 am.

We just received news that a generous donation of concrete has been added to this project and the course will have permanent concrete tee pads! We will be framing concrete and elevating/building a memorial pyramid basket on hole 5 in Robs honor.

We will need extra hands to help us with the above tasks as well as anyone that is willing to bring extra tools with them including shovels, limb cutters, and anything else that will help us accomplish these goals!

As you notice work happening around the course please be respectful and play to the side of tee pads for the next few weeks.

Rob is the very reason this course was installed, he has supported the East Valley community and beyond. The HOA is allowing us to rename the course and make multiple improvements.

If you have any questions, please let us know. We hope to see a ton of the community out there as we revitalize Skyline in Rob’s honor.

The East Valley Flight club was back to the normal rotation and we battled at Ironwood Crossing and the weather was absolutely perfect for some disc golf! Logan came out on top by shooting -5, Emmet snagged the second spot at -3, and Scott came in 3rd with a -1 score. Good luck to all those from the East Valley competing in The Jewel, bring home the hardware!! We will see everyone next week at Red Mountain!

With the extra Saturday this month, the people spoke and the East Valley Flight Club travelled to Sun Ray! Evan came to battle and even called out his -6 round before we teed off! He is taking home the #5 tag and some cold hard cash too 💵 Braiden S held onto the CTP for 9/18, the kids showed us how to play today! Huge thanks to all that came out, even saw a few new faces too! For those playing other events this weekend we wish you the best of luck! See you next week at Ironwood Crossing!
