🥋 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MASTER DON GRAY! 🇺🇸

Today, USA Martial Arts is proud to honor one of the enduring members of our martial arts family—Master Don “TaeKwonDon” Gray.

Don was one of my original Arizona students, beginning his martial arts journey with us in 1993 at All American Gymnastics through our Kwik Kicks program.

From those early days, he distinguished himself through talent, determination, loyalty, and an extraordinary competitive spirit. He went on to become one of the most successful Taekwondo competitors in our school’s history, earning championship victories while representing USA Martial Arts with excellence.

But his contribution went far beyond competition.

Master Gray taught for years and gave countless hours supporting demonstrations, community-service programs, special events, and the development of other students. He became part of the generation that helped build the foundation and traditions USA Martial Arts continues today.

His path of service eventually extended far beyond our academy.

Don served our nation in the United States Army Airborne, deployed to the Middle East, and continued his martial development through Modern Army Combatives—training, competing, and teaching fellow soldiers. Drawing upon decades of martial arts and military experience, he later developed his own combatives program, G.A.T.O.R.

There is something deeply meaningful about watching a young student grow from his first classes, to competitor, champion, instructor, soldier, veteran, and ultimately a teacher and leader in his own right.

More than three decades after he first stepped onto the mat with us, I remain grateful for his friendship, proud of his accomplishments, and honored that his story is part of the history of USA Martial Arts.

Happy Birthday, Master Don Gray.

Thank you for the years of friendship, loyalty, service, leadership, and for carrying the martial spirit wherever life has taken you.

🇺🇸 LABOR DAY HOLIDAY CLOSURE

USA Martial Arts will be CLOSED Saturday and Monday in observance of Labor Day.

We encourage our students, families, and team members to enjoy the holiday and spend meaningful time with family and friends.

We are grateful for each of you and for the outstanding community that makes USA Martial Arts special.

Classes resume Tuesday on our regular schedule.

Enjoy a safe and restful Labor Day. We look forward to seeing you back on the mat!
