Arizona Girls Wrestling is hosting an All Girls Folkstyle wrestling camp October 1-2.

Camp proceeds will go to assist with travel fees and team expenses for our PanAm and National Team members.

2 days - 4 sessions - Lunch included both days - $80 pre-reg ($100 on-site).

HISTORIC DAY IN ARIZONA! School choice for all K-12 Students!

THE UNIVERSAL ESA (HB 2853)

On Friday, June 24th, the Arizona Legislature approved final passage of a bill expanding school choice to every student in Arizona. The first state to pass an Education Savings Account (ESA) program, Arizona is now poised to create the most robust school choice program in the nation. Governor Doug Ducey, along time champion of school choice, is expected to sign the expansion.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ESA FAMILIES?

If any parent in Arizona wants to access a school for their child that's outside of the public school system, they would receive approximately $7,000 per year all K-12 students in Arizona which means each student would receive approximately $7,000 per year to spend on the education option of their choice if they decided to leave their district school. Funds can be used for private school tuition, online learning, tutors, schooling at home, and more! The law takes effect 90 days after Governor Ducey signs it into law.

Calling all girls/young women wrestlers…

Well today was a very special day! A very special and close friend, wrestler, student graduated. Matteo came into my wrestling room at the beginning of season. I took one look at him and said Nope he won’t last!! Well he did and he surprised me 100 percent! He always complained but never stormed out of the room, never talked back, he just worked! He showed up to every practice and helped with junior high tournaments. I really believe that he would have made it to state if only the AIA would have allowed international students to go! This young man will be leaving us to go back to Italy. I will miss him so much! Matteo has made such an impact in my life and I can honestly say I love this kid. I wish him good luck in all his future endeavors and hope to see him soon when he returns to Arizona….
