Shotokan is a traditional Japanese style martial art; we trace our lineage to Master Gichin Funakoshi, who is recognized as the founder of modern-day karate. Sensei Koyama came to the United States in 1964 and has been teaching here ever since. We are affiliated with the Japan Karate Association/World Federation America.
