Congratulations to these outstanding young men, including two of our own rowers Justin and JC!!
Brophy is pleased to announce that eight seniors have been named 2021 National Merit Semifinalists. Congratulations go to Justin An, Walker Bagley, Charles Fallon, Carl Justice, John Lomax, Nolan Lopez, Mateo Morris and Henry Palmer. Semifinalists can go on to compete for Finalist standing and ultimately, for a National Merit Scholarship.
Students entered the 2021 competition their junior year when they took the 2019 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) which serves as an initial screen of program entrants. Nationally, over 1.5 million juniors from approximately 21,000 high schools took the test with about 16,000 students qualifying as Semifinalists.
