Final Round Phoenix Divisional

2026 NHRA Lucas Series at Firebird--Grant Durie defeated Firebird National Open winner Thomas Bayer in the Top Dragster final.

Had an excellent weekend twisting the dials on Grants Top Dragster. Whirlwind of a weekend between both cars but at the end of the day we were able to take home the first W of the divisional season. This car was a monster running mid teens to mid 20s, as fast as 229mph. Lots of help from Andy Neyer and Gretta Forstie to keep the cars going while Grant was on point driving both of his TNT dragsters. Can’t ask for a better weekend.

We went out with Grants TNT and were able to win race 1 of the double header divisional event. The competition is stellar in Div7 (no ducks!) Now back to the shop to finish the next 2 builds and back at it!!

Built a set of 2 3/4” SS Headers for this TNTs 959ci monster! Headers were fully polished then welded, weld coloration looks great. Definitely one of the most unique sounding engines at the track.

Here is build #1 for 2024, car no.2 for Trent. 250” top dragster with all the bells and whistles! Another car for our northern friends!

Was able to make a positive out of a rough Div 7 opener. We were out early testing with Grants car due to an engine issue. During Top Dragster qualifying for race # 1 on Thursday the Januik family dragster unfortunately did a big wheel stand and came down hard. Ripped off one spindle, bent the other and broke both front uprights. We built a new set of TNT arms and fitted them to their chassis, replaced the broken bars and steering components. Car was fixed on Friday and back at the track Saturday morning for race #2. Racers helping racers, this is why NHRA is the best!! Wild start for 2024.
