From a life-threatening condition to a bright future 🕊️
At just one year old, Sandy Diaz faced an enormous lymphatic malformation that had taken over the right side of her face and neck, making it hard for her to breathe and eat normally.
After other treatments did not work, elite surgeons at Lenox Hill Hospital stepped in. During a delicate marathon surgery of over eight hours, they removed nearly all of the mass while safeguarding her facial nerves.
The result was remarkable: Sandy began breathing and feeding by herself, giving her family a real miracle.
Her courage and the skill of her medical team remind us how powerful hope and advanced care can be 🤍
