A spinning class is a group workout on exercise bikes...I started spinning about a month ago & I love it... I started classes because I always bring up the rear on Saturday morning friends rides...I thought spinning would help to improve my strength & endurance. It has!!! I spin at least 2-3 times a week and love it! It is a fun and lively way to keep fit and meet people as a lot are regulars!

You won’t leave a spin class without having worked up a good sweat – And if you do then you haven’t cranked up the resistance enough...

if skeptical, you should definitely give it ago…I didn't think I’d be able to keep up but I’m now a regular spinner and find the routine of classes after work addictive now!

Treadmills and elliptical trainers are two of the most popular pieces of exercise equipment and are excellent tools for getting an aerobic workout indoors...When you compare treadmills vs elliptical trainers, you will quickly realize that ellipticals have only come to the party fairly recently, whereas treadmills have been around much longer...Consequently, treadmills are more well-known and more commonplace...

When you compare Treadmills to Elliptical trainers, you can't help but notice that the Elliptical trainer offers an impact-free workout...With the Elliptical, there is no impact on the ground, which may appeal to people who need a gentler workout because of joint problems or pain...The treadmill offers more impact, which helps strengthen the bones...

One obvious point that is in favor of Treadmills is that it provides a better training experience for a dedicated runner/jogger than an Elliptical trainer...If you are training for a marathon or even a 10k, and you don't want to go outdoors too often during the colder months, you are certainly better off with a quality Treadmill...

That being said, if you are looking for a quality cardiovascular workout with the maximum amount of efficiency, the elliptical is an excellent choice...Most Elliptical trainers give you a total body workout if you have dual action handlebars for your arms and foot pedals for your legs, whereas Treadmills focus more on your lower body as they simulate the jogging experience...What is even more interesting, according to recent studies, is that the lack of impact on the joints allows the user to burn roughly the same amount of calories as Treadmills with the impression of putting less effort...

Therefore, it is no wonder that Ellipticals have been the machine of choice for seniors exercisers with knee problems, as well as physical trainers who are involved in rehabilitating their clients...
How to Perform a Rear Deltoid Fly...

When you go about your workout to build upper body muscle, you'll want to be sure and get the work in on your delts, otherwise know as your shoulders, as well. Avoiding these muscles can cause large pecs to look like man b***s and hinder that sexy V look that you are aspiring to get...Here is a great shoulder workout to help complete your routine to build upper body muscle.

You can perform your normal routine to build upper body muscle and then finish with this group of exercises or perform this routine on its own. This workout will address the rear deltoid, anterior deltoid and the muscles in between. Be sure and work this routine at least twice during the week giving these muscles a day or two rest in between workouts...

Using dumbbells do as a circuit:

Front shoulder raises 10 - 15 reps
Side raises 10 - 15 reps
Bent Over Raises 10 - 15 reps
Upright rows 10 - 15 reps
Overhead press 10 - 15 reps

1/ Perform as a continuous circuit.
2/ Rest for 2 minutes between each complete circuit.
3/ Perform 3 reps for each circuit increasing the weight by 5 lbs for each circuit Maintain proper form going the full range of motion...
4/ Use explosive controlled moves on concentric (lift) contraction, exhale on exertion and inhale on the release..
5/ Increase by weight by 5 lbs each time you perform .this routine.
6/ Stretch after the routine is complete (or, you won't be able to lift your arms the day after)...

Working out in this manner will build upper body muscle and get you the body you want...This workout will be hard and you will feel it when its done, but you'll appreciate your effort when you look in the mirror and when every one else is checking you out too!

The shoulder work is only one aspect of a workout to build upper body muscle...There are several other exercises to work the rest of the body and get the results you want...Here is a sample routine to help work other muscle groups...

Combine these exercises for 3 sets, 8-10 reps each. Use proper form and technique. Lift enough weight to reach failure by the last reps of the last set...

o bench press
o dead lift
o pull ups
o dips
o bent over row
o clean and press
If you are considering working out on the machines at your gym, you may have noticed the StairMaster and the elliptical machines. While at first glance they may look similar, they are quite different in how they work your body. A StairMaster simulates walking up a flight of steps, while an elliptical, a cross between a treadmill and a StairMaster, moves your legs in wide strides...

Significance...

Depending on your age, health, medical history and weight, one machine may be better for you to use. The StairMaster can be a more grueling workout and can be hard on your legs, while the elliptical is still an effective way to burn calories and is easier on your joints. Using a calorie calculator, based on an average weight of 150 lbs., you will burn 300 calories on the elliptical in 30 minutes, compared to 200 calories on the StairMaster in the same amount of time...

Misconceptions...

Some people believe that the StairMaster is primarily to build muscles and serves little purpose in weight management. This is false. While the StairMaster does build muscles, many people swear by its cardiovascular workout as the hardest one in the gym. The elliptical has been labeled as a machine for the older or overweight, but this is also false. Using the elliptical is becoming increasingly popular for people of all ages due to its simplicity and the benefits it can provide...

Benefits...

The StairMaster can help you build muscle, lose weight, maintain health and give your body a tough workout. The elliptical can help you lose or maintain weight, provide your body a low-impact workout and tone your muscles. Either machine can help improve your health, lose weight and improve muscle tone. Expect to see more muscular legs and thighs with long-term use of the StairMaster, coupled with moderate weight loss. If you opt to use the elliptical, expect to see toned leg muscles but more pronounced weight loss...

*
Does the StairMaster burn belly fat?
*
Unfortunately, spot reduction is just a myth. While exercising on the machine can lead to fat loss, its health benefits are not specific to the belly.
*
The only way to lose belly fat is to reduce your overall body fat through diet and exercise. The StairMaster can be an effective part of your workout plan.

What happens if I skip a week of working out?
*
As with everything else in fitness, it depends on the person. In general, you lose your endurance before your muscles.
*
Your aerobic capacity drops by 5 to 10% after three weeks of no exercises, and after two months of inactivity, you'll definitely find yourself out of shape.

Should I workout my abs if I have belly fat?
*
One reason targeted fat loss doesn’t work is because muscle cells cannot use the fat content of fat cells directly.
*
The fat mass must be broken down before it can enter the bloodstream. This fat can come from anywhere in the body, and not just in the part of the body being exercised.

At the start of the new year, many people create a new year's resolution to begin losing weight, working out, and eating healthy.
*

*
Why You Shouldn't Give Up
*
Exercise shouldn't hurt and if it does, beyond some stiffness/soreness, you're doing it wrong. Some soreness a day or two after a new workout is normal. However, if you're sore every day or can barely move, you're pushing too hard.

Is no pain, no gain true when working out?
*

*
No pain, no gain is a proverb, used since the 1980s as an exercise motto that promises greater value rewards for the price of hard and even painful work. Under this conception competitive professionals, such as athletes and artists, are required to endure pain and stress to achieve professional excellence.

*
What happens if you go to gym everyday?
*
Exercising daily can lead to injuries, fatigue, and burnout. All of these things can cause you to permanently leave your fitness program. Start slowly, and gradually increase the duration and intensity of any new exercise routine. Be aware of your body.

What is the most weight a woman can lose in a month?

Don’t complain about being “FAT” if you have nothing to do about it
*

*
What is the most weight a woman can lose in a month?
*
The maximum amount of weight you can lose in one month is about 20 pounds, or 5 pounds per week. But to achieve this goal you'll likely have to eat just 500-800 calories daily for 30 days vs. 1,200-1,800 calories often recommended during a 1-2 pound per week weight loss.

Why do people go to the gym instead of home?

What should you do first when you start exercising?

*
Why do people go to the gym instead of home?
*
One reason why people go to a gym instead of exercising at home is to avoid exercising alone. Gyms provide access to group exercise classes and a way to work out with other people.
