SHUTDOWN TNT / GRUDGE No-Prep Drags

It’s Shutdown time — 1/8 mile outlaw-style drag racing pushed to the extreme! The starting line moves to the finish line, the surface is bare asphalt, and it’s all kicked off with a flashlight start — no prep, no timing system, no excuses. First car to the line takes the win!

If you’re looking for more no prep action here’s the rules and classes for HB’s Thunder in the Heartland No Prep Series. Take that drive out to Oklahoma starting in April.

**Warning long post**

We have noticed some confusion when it comes to rules and classes. Shutdown Showdown started out with two simple classes. Big and Small tire. Over the years we have tried other classes to make it more competitive for all racers. Some classes have stayed and some have been passed over due to no support. That being said this also lessens the amount of competitors in each class which also lowers the possible payout per class. We try to keep things simple for the racer and us as a rules committee. Remember this was put on by the racers for the racers in hopes of having a good time. All that being said we have 5 classes. Big Tire, Small Tire, Small tire N/A, Hard Tire, and Stick Shift. Some of these classes will not be contested at all events. We will also post our rules for these classes in the comments section. If we decide to make any changes to these rules it will be on this page.

We have had the privilege to run our events under the Gofast Entertainment umbrella at Firebird Motorsports Park. Gofast has since sold to other investors and will not have any say in our rules or classes at this time. For any other Shutdown Showdown labeled events in the future, whether at Firebird or any other track, this is where you can find all the information.
