"Self Care Sundays" - although every day is an opportunity to create balance in our lives taking time to reset and do things we enjoy on Sundays primes our minds and bodies for success as we move into a new week

@sebastian_performance likes to be outside, usually with family and friends as a way to connect with nature and loved ones - sometimes that is a casual brunch or a day in the park listening to music, slacklining, and doing yoga

What are your favorite Sunday activities??

Saturday morning sweat sessions 🙌🏽

What makes Spire different. Always working to learn, to expand and gain knowledge.

We are not looking for gimmicks but instead build our training tried and true science backed protocols. With that being said there is a quest to expand our knowledge. The final two ingredients come with the perspective that we try to listen to our members on what’s important to them. Finally! How can we add a little fun to the community..

So grateful you trust us in being part of your health journey.

Tired of back pain? Want a stronger midsection and smaller waste? Come check out our workshop this Saturday! DM for more info!

The hip shift!! A key component to happy and healthy hips is they ability to properly shift from one side to the other! Come find out more this Saturday from 12-2 here at Spire Health Club! Link in our bio!!

“To enjoy good health, to bring true happiness to one’s family, to bring peace to all, one must first discipline and control one’s own mind. If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him.”

Training looks a little different to every person; we could enter the same room with the same workout and still to each person it’s a bit different.

One of our favorite parts about all the @concept2inc equipment is we get to challenge ourselves to get better at a skill.

Crazy part…. Sometimes you have to slow down a little bit to hone in the details so that in the future you will be able to go even faster.(life lesson there??)

@kellyannevaughn not just working out but training to get better at rowing on a regular basis 🙌🏽. Going pretty damn fast if we don’t say so ourselves 💪🏽💪🏽

Spire is a special community because the connections built within the walls of the gym blossom into authentic relationships outside of it and we are very grateful to be a part of each member's life as well as their fitness journey

Shout out to these fellas for their undeniable work ethic and character - dedicating their time during these last 3 weeks off from college to elevate their physical capacities to be in the best possible shape when they return to practice next week 💪

Single Leg Exercises

Yes, we know it’s a love hate relationship with lunges and step-ups. But, everyone’s favorite are the Rear Foot Elevated Split Squats (Bulgarians 😈).

These unilateral movements are a staple in your weekly training.

✅ Improves muscle imbalances, balance and core stability
✅ Allows an upright torso (compared to some bilateral exercises)
✅Decreases amount of load placed on the body
✅ Translates to a ‘better’ bilateral movement

What’s your favorite Single Leg Exercise? Or your most hated?

Comment below 👇

“A step towards what you fear is a mile towards mastering it.”

Training ≠ Working Out

Which one have you been doing? Working out is an approach of showing up to the gym and just doing random exercises without any specific goals in mind hoping to get results. Some day… (probably not)

Training, on the other hand, is following a plan targeted at your goals. Before you even get to the gym there is a plan laid out.

And just like anything else it takes consistency and discipline to make progress.

Not to say working out is bad… if you’re traveling or on vacation, getting a quick sweat in is fine (especially if equipment is scarce).

Things you can control:

-How you talk to yourself
-Your sleep routine
-What you consume on social media
-Your mindset
-Your outlook
-Your level of honesty
-What you eat
-How soon you try again…

Control what you can control— the rest will be what it is.

All Spire Members welcome 👊🏻

When young athletes reach higher levels of competition, everyone is good. Gaining a competitive advantage comes down to who is willing to put the extra work in to fine tune the little details of their craft and we are grateful to be a part of it 💪

The Spire community never ceases to amaze us. Giving in epic proportion’s once again.

This year we worked with St. Vincent de Paul once again to adopt the Toscano family. For those of you who don’t know we choose this charity because the building Spire is in used to be a St. Vincent de Paul building. For the last 5 years with the help of all of you we have been able to help families in the Valley who needed a little help.

The Toscano family had 6 people YOU helped.
Brenda and Roberto have six children.
Jaqueline, Genesis, Abraham, Lucia, Elias and Isaac all ranging from 2-22 years old.

We loaded up all the gifts which we could barely get in the SUV and drove to South Phoenix. The single family home had been converted into three different residents. We finally found the door which was down a back alley in the back of the home.
We knocked on the door and were greeted with Brenda who had a shy smile but a genuine kindness in her eyes. Just then Roberto came to the door and offered to come help us. Devon backed the car in and we started to unloaded everything. Roberto had us help put everything in their minivan to be able to surprise the little ones.

As we unloaded everything in Roberto just kept saying “too much”. As we finished up putting almost everything in the van and we got ready to leave he asked us to please wait one minute.
His daughter Genesis(17)came out to help translate for us. He asked us if we were sure this is just too much! Then asked if there is anything he could do for us. There was a mix of pride and humility in his tone. He held eye contact and tried to not be too excited but you could tell this meant the world to him. We stood and just told him we were happy to help and we hoped his family had a wonderful Holiday season. Several thank you’s followed and we got back in the car to head back to the gym.
All of you gave your hard earned resources to a family you had never met or even known there names. I simply wanted to share this story to show some of the impact that all of you had on a family here in our community.

They will be able to have groceries and home goods for several months as well as lots of smiles from the tons of gifts because of your willingness to give.

As a staff we can’t say it enough; thank you for making this such an amazing community, we are so proud to hang out with all of you in a daily basis.
Happy Holidays everyone from all of us!

Devon, Tevah, Danielle, Sebastian, Kevin, Ben
