I've had people ask and question what I do to build a knife so here is a progression of a knife in my shop ... this will be a donation to the Christian Hunters of America to raffle off at my upcoming predator seminar ...
to start with I have chosen a bar of 154cm steal a piece of wood I picked up in the southern desert of Arizona then my epoxy and some pin stock

they are snap knives made of 154cm with G10 handles, they are not large knives a total of about 6 1/2 inches 1 is a right hand carry and the other is a left hand carry.... the left hand carry is either for a left handed person or a right handed person that carries a side arm and still wants to carry a knife

when I buy antler I try to explain to people why I cant use small antlers (raghorns) and today I cut into an antler that a gentleman sent me to use to build his knife, I have no problem doing that but I always explain if it is low quality antler I can't make a high quality handle out of it.....
this picture is the perfect example, the outer ring or bark is the part that I use to make the handle and it will polish up crisp and glossy but the antler on the right is a raghorn and doesn't have enough bark to work with so it will show the rough marrow that wont shine or last like the hard bone on the left

I know this knife looks blue but it is a gorgeous purple with black snap handle knife made with 154cm and is the knife that will be raffled off Tuesday night at the seminar
