Itās finally here! Pentathlon Heats start at 9:15am. Here are some tips for success for tomorrow. Arrive early so you can warm up properly. Wear your team colors and represent. Things to bring: Lawn chair, something to drink at the BBQ (byob) a towel and maybe a change of clothes , the final event is the water slide š. This is gonna be fun! š

Weāre down to the wire! Final weights and measurements are due for the BTC on Wednesday. Nate and John will be in at 4:30am tomorrow morning if youād like to measure early and beat the Wednesday rush.
Chili Lime Texas Caviar (Cowboy Caviar). This can be a great side dish, salad, or appetizer. If you want a healthier kick...dip with veggies instead of chips.
Ingredients
SALAD:
* 15 ounce can red kidney beans rinsed and drained
* 15 ounce can black beans, rinsed and drained
* 15 ounce can sweet corn rinsed and drained
* 1/2 red bell pepper (capsicum), finely diced
* 1/2 green bell pepper (capsicum), finely diced
* 1/2 a red onion, diced
* 2 cups grape tomatoes, , halved (or cherry tomatoes or 2 Roma tomatoes)
* 2 ripe avocados, diced
* ā
cup Cilantro (or parsley), finely chopped
CHILI LIME DRESSING:
* 1/4 cup olive oil
* 1/4 cup lime juice, freshly squeezed
* 2 tablespoons cilantro, (freshly chopped)
* 2 cloves garlic, crushed
* 1 teaspoon brown sugar
* 3/4 teaspoon red chilli flakes, adjust to your preference of spice
* 1/2 teaspoon ground Cumin
* 1 teaspoon salt
TO SERVE:
* Veggie sticks Nacho chips, Tortilla chips, etc
Instructions
1. Combine salad ingredients in a large bowl. Mix together to combine. Set aside.
2. Whisk dressing ingredients together in a smaller bowl, until well combined.
3. Pour dressing over salad, stir through, and serve with chips or veggie sticks.
BUFFALO SWEET POTATO BITES
INGREDIENTS
2 Medium Sweet Potatoes
9oz Chicken Breast
2ibs chopped red onion
2ibs chopped cilantro
4tbs Frank's red hot
1/2 tsp cumin, pepper, chili powder
1/2 tbs garlic
Directions
1) Slice sweet potato into 1/4 slices / place in oven 425 degrees until crisp
2) Place chicken in pan with 1/4 water, salt & pepper. Cover & cook till 165 degrees.
3) Sauce: Combine Frank's redhot, cumin, chili powder, pepper and garlic in a bowl. Mix and set aside.
4) Shred chicken with forks and combine into sauce.
5)Remove sweet potatoes from oven, place onto plate (careful they will be hot) pile chicken onto each slice.
6) Garnish with red onion and cilantro. Feel free to add a little avocado or guacamole (optional drizzle extra Frank's red hot on top.)

2. Thereās nothing wrong with enjoying a beer or two...try to alternate with water in order to stay hydrated.
3. If pizza or sliders are served, choose one and make it your meal. The protein and fat will help fill you up so you will be less likely to graze on the chips.
4. Dive into veggies, just be careful of creamy dip...maybe switch to a hummus dip instead.
DEFENSIVE STRATEGY
1. Wings really offer you nothing nutritious. Pass.
2. Skip the nachos tooāwith your offensive plan, you wonāt even want them.
3. Brush your teeth and/or use Listerine after your meal...keeps you from snacking on extras.
