Hard to say who was the best player of all time, but Ben Hogan was right up there. Thanks for sharing Gary Player. You were and are a class act!! Thank you for being so kind to me when I was a rookie-not a lot of the established players were.

In honor of Ben Hogan’s birthday today, I would like to share a quick story. Many years ago, Hogan had complemented my game and soon after asked if I practiced hard. I responded in the affirmative. He looked at me with those eyes and simply said “double it." I am not sure there has ever been anybody as good as he was from tee to green. He just never missed. In my opinion, Hogan had the best swing the game has seen and he knew the swing from A-Z. It always amazes me to think that he won 9 majors and yet he missed 30+ majors in his prime. What a player he was. I am sure if heaven has a golf course, Hogan is the head pro.

Congrats to Collin, Jorday, Louie, Jon for putting on a great show. Those conditions looked pretty good for the British Open!!

So great to be back in the UK at The Open. The fans and course were amazing and although we came close, a big congrats to Collin on a well-deserved W. Onward and upward!

This was one wonderful lady- loving wife, loving mother, loving teacher, etc. Tom and i were SO BLESSED to have her as our mom!!! She is in heaven now and has a new body and mind and is singing praises to our Lord and Savior!! (with that beautiful voice of hers) . Probably doing a duet with our Dad (wait maybe Glen Campbell). Miss you LOTS Mom!! Just like Dad you were and ARE the Greatest!! Love, Paul and Tom Purtzer 🙂
