It’s amazing to me that the world we live in when we train a celebrity at Dark Horse Training they require an NDA to be signed. It doesn’t happen often but when we do train a celebrity or someone in the public eye, I’ve started to ask why we sign an NDA. The answer surprised me. At first I thought it was just because they are very private and they don’t want their private life to be shared in public. But surprisingly it turns out that they don’t want their private life and their hobbies to be shared with the people that may hire them in Hollywood. These people who don’t agree with their politics or their like of fi****ms and self-defense. What a strange world we live in that you can’t express yourself even when you have money and fame for fear you will be blackballed from your industry because of the things you enjoy or believe in. Stay in the game no matter what.

I spent some time this evening with some of the neighborhood watch folks here in town. Lots of good questions lots of learning tonight. Gives me faith that people are willing to train and grow as people.

These are the two individuals who robbed a local jewelry store and shot A clerk. The clerk has gone through one surgery and is still in ICU and is getting ready to start another surgery. I can’t stress to you enough to get training. I don’t just mean fi****ms training because in the situation a gun might not have been the answer or it may have I don’t know all the details to speculate. But first aid training, situational awareness, training, perimeter security, armed guards things like that all can help facilitate the safety of your family and your business. Had a great time shooting with these two maniacs today and filming. Didn’t shoot all that well on tape, the camera definitely adds a level of stress I’m not comfortable with but it was definitely a good time.

So I just got off a pretty cool zoom call with the reps from Shadow Systems. If you don’t know who that is they are basically a G***k clone with it being 100% made in the USA and full warranty and if you ever have to use your shadow systems gun in a self-defense scenario and your gun is confiscated by the police and you send them a copy of the police report they will send you another firearm.

I am pretty impressed with their quality of the gun and improvements that they made on the original G***k platform the triggers are extremely nice the barrels are twisted and threaded is an option they have different slide cuts but they just have thought of a lot of things that a lot of people upgrade on the G***ks and this is already done and tested.. ASP training to be an instructor. Three days of class and running through hands-on training and defensive tactics. It was a good three days. Met some cool people lots of cops and corrections officers in class all trying to be better at what they do. If you’re going to be an instructor of anything you need to keep your skill set trained. Always check your instructors and make sure that they are keeping their training current.
