Highly Falkner South Mountain Time Trial

We are sad to announce that the Highly Falkner South Mountain Time Trial (HFSMTT) is indefinitely postponed. South Mountain Park is under new management and is no longer issuing permits for competitive events. The HFSMTT leadership team is seeking new hill climb options for the future. In the meantime, cheer HFSMTT champion Brandon McNulty in his professional career with Team UAE Emirates (in the yellow jersey today at Paris-Nice!). Please also support the non-competitive Rob Dollar event to be held at South Mountain later this year by the Rob Dollar Foundation to raise awareness of cyclist safety on the road. HSMTT Update: Due to Covid numbers, vaccine status, team captain availability, etc., we will be rescheduling the 2021 Highly Falkner South Mountain Time Trial (HFSMTT) that is typically held the day after Mother’s Day. We will be working with Arizona Bicycle Racing Association to identify some fall date options. Stay tuned!

McNulty heads to Worlds, Giro after teammate Pogačar wins Tour de France As Arizona cycling fans watched 21-year-old Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) win the Tour de France last weekend in a time-trial stage upset, some couldn’t help but imagine the possibilities…

USAC has canceled all race permits through April 15. As a result, the Highly Falkner South Mountain Time Trial will be rescheduled to a TBD date in the fall. Registration will be closed today. All current registrants will be issued a full refund. Update on future race date will be posted to this page.

At this point the HFSMTT is still on! We are watching updates from City of Phoenix for any changes. Keep practicing that climbing!!
