Tonight another early full page ad from Kawasaki's campaign featuring their inaugural line up of KLT's. Boasting an American pride play on their Built In The USA 200 model - we see a full roll out on the hauling accessories available, truly painting a picture of versatility in outdoor applications as a utility vehicle. The dual mode differential and electric start, truly set this platform apart as it was now going head to head with Honda's first Gen 1 Big Red.

" Red is a swell color. For fire engines, barns, tomatoes, bullfighters capes and a couple hundred thousand other things. But if you're looking for the toughest, most versatile four-stroke three-wheeler money can buy, that's horsepower of a different color. The brand new Yahama Tri-Moto 200. One look and you'll know this eagerly awaited four-stroke was worth waiting for "
Lol - no question that Yamaha came out swinging with the introduction of their new YTM200 in 1983... Calling out the 185s directly several times. Can't deny the advertising execs had fun with this one. πŸ˜‚

Having developed one of the most advanced sport performance platforms in 1987, Kawasaki played their well worn strategy to the T with their "Out Build / Out Develop" the competition - and they nailed it again with the 4 Valve, liquid cooled Mojave. Despite solid performance results - this awesome platform in both the mechanical and aesthetic design never garnered a truly weighted opinion of pro-critical mass approval despite demonstrating the deserving prowess.

The 90's color explosion that ramped up in 1991 honestly was everywhere in some form or another.. But the Teal Leopard spotted seat introduced by Suzuki on the LT250R that year hit a whole other level. Loved or hated, we feel this aesthetic almost bordered on a fashion statement in ways. πŸ˜…

Looking backwards tonight, we focus on the Fall of 1985, when one of the first official reviews landed on Honda's all new TRX350 Fourtrax. The Legendary Dean Kirsten opened the article referencing mile stones in the evolution of ATV's starting with Honda's 1981 ATC250R, then Suzuki's first on four - 1983 LT125, then we jump forward to Yamaha's 1985 MX / ATV cross over BW200 Big Wheel.. And eventually land on this legend of a platform, which still garners recognition as one of the most capable 4x4 ATVs ever built, with volumes still in service 41 years later. We feel the quote sums up the teams adventure on the Rubicon trail, which at that point was so fierce that it was mainly used by built Jeeps and 4x4 passenger vehicles.

Our Debut issue on the shelves October 1st! πŸ˜‰ We hope everyone had a great end of Summer send off, we got this old racer out to chase the cobwebs away and wanted to check a few boxes from this past season. Huge shout out to This Old Trike - ATC Collection Preston and his family are absolute All-Stars in this community, and want to thank him again for the hospitality and letting us use his supplies and shop for a tire repair! Also been working on a story and some fun stuff that might pop up next year with our PA Pal Ben Roberts. And - don't forget that Binkys Forever Atc will be open this coming Saturday! We have lots of things in the works for Q4, stay tuned - and thank you all for the support on our projects and ongoing contributions to this page.

Wheeling through the weekend - another edition to our Classic Scrapbook series. Contributed by one of our members here Jim Burley, this vintage snapshot pretty much says it all, as far as the vibe of 1984 and recreational riding was concerned. Cheers Jim, we really enjoyed seeing and sharing this awesome action shot! To our other members - please feel free to submit your images, just include a General Location and Date + a line or two about your memory of the picture. Thank you all for the continued contributions to this page! - Marty
