Just a few highlights from the summer.
U.S. Senior Open (Local Stage) | Outdoor CC - 75 (+3) - Advanced
U.S. Senior Open (Final Stage) | Manor CC, Rockville, MD - 74 (+4)
Philadelphia Open Qualifying | Coatesville CC - 74 (+3) Qualified (as 1st alternate)
Old York Road Invitational | 69 (-2) - 75 (+4) = 144 | 2nd place
Bellewood Medal Play Championship | 72 (+1) - 68 (-3) = 140 | Gross Winner
PPGA Championship | Springford CC - 72 (Even) | T-3 (Senior division)
Bellwood Club Championship | Qualifying: 71 (Even) | Match Play wins of 4 & 3, 1 Up, 4 & 3 - 4th title
Philadelphia Open first round at Lancaster CC. Shot 72 and was T-14 amongst the top golfers in the area.

What do you do after you shoot your career low round 68 in the first round on the tour event ? Go out a fire a 67 in round 2! Great playing by Chase this week to grab another W. He’s been busting his tail this summer and it has been rewarded. Great playing Chase! Take that confidence from our lesson Monday with you every time you tee it up my man!!!

Congratulations to Michael Gravinese on his stellar play in the heat the last two days in the local qualifier. 80 boys teed it up on Thursday and Friday in hopes of taking home the trophy. Michael was down 2 strokes with 3 to play and managed to birdie 2 of his last three holes to force the playoff. Michael birdied the 18th hole in the playoff to take the win with a routine tap in! He also shot an easy 62 at Linfield earlier this week. Safe to say the kid has game!!!! Way to go Michael and good luck at Regionals in July!

High School Prep Clinics in full swing…literally. The Pre-Shot routine is such a critical part to hitting a good golf shot and playing good golf. Here the students are working their intermediate target then stepping into the ball and ripping it. Plan. Intent. Execute. We are going to be ready for the fall!

And just like that the 2026 Florida Golf Schools are complete! We worked from sunrise to moonrise, saw rocket launch, hit over gators, knocked down noodles, hit the hot tub before and after golf, and improved the scoring parts of our game. Salvador joined me for the last school and found out what’s it like to work until the hands bleed! As always a huge thank you to Gillian for holding down the fort while I’m away. I could not do it without you . Also, thank you to for their hospitality and willingness to allow me to conduct my schools without flaw. It’s been a great 5 years and I look forward to a sixth!

Had a break in the schedule so I was able to head to Gainesville to watch Alexandra play in the Lady Bison Spring Invitational Long game is on 🔥🔥. Short game a little 🥶🥶. Kind of what was to be expected considering this was her first time on grass in a few months. Gotta love winters in the northeast. Overall nice playing by the young lady now she is back home for a week and returns to Florida for next tournament with in mid March. Good luck to Alexandra and the rest of the women’s team! golf

Congratulations to Trisha for being named the 12 and Under Player of the Year! This list of accomplishments to win the award are pretty impressive. • 399.50 Total Points
• 13 First Place Finishes in 17 Events
• 1st Place in 12 & Under Championship
• 1st Place in two-day event at Turtle Creek Golf Course
• Finished in Top 3 in 16 of 17 events. Thank you to Trisha and the Lobo family for inviting me out to see her be presented with the championship belt. It has been an honor to be Trisha and Nathan’s coach and I look forward to seeing them continue to be successful and grow to be great golfers and incredible humans. And oh by the way she only stuck it to 10 feet in the 7th hole at Pebble Beach after dinner and awards. .s.kidsgolf

Halloween Clinic Reboot! It has been a few years but never fear it is back! Nothing like playing a little golf in a costume. The juniors compete in a trick or treat knockout game and ripped a bunch of drives! In order to participate in the clinic juniors were asked to donate a bag of canned goods to be donated to local food pantry. I am happy to report that we donated 116 pounds of food to the Open Door Ministry in Royersford! Thank you to all who donated and participated and we will see you next year. And just like that the 2025 Sumner Junior Golf Camps are over! We played our usual games at the Golf Academy, conquered hole 9, learned so much and made new friends. We also found out at an early age what this game can do to us…picture 3. We love it so much and feel it’s pain a bunch but we keep grinding to get better everyday! Welcome to golf young man!
