After much deliberation, prayer and consulting with players and coaches the decision has been made to not have a summer Blazer Baseball team. This decision does not come easy. But due to family medical reasons I can not give our guys the full attention they deserve. And as our guys and other folks that know me I’m either all in or all out.
This team was created for one purpose. That was to give a group of young men an experience and opportunity to better their skills and showcase their talent at an affordable price. The goal was teaching our guys how to handle themselves throughout the recruiting process and put them in situations to succeed and bring it back to their high school. Although I don’t know the future of the team going forward I want to thank our players and coaches and sponsors for the success over the last 2 years. For the guys that have worn a blazer uniform please know that you guys are my heart. This decision comes with tears and smiles. But they are tears of joy and smiles knowing our future is going to be alright with you guys being our future leaders. You can measure success in a lot of different ways but in our short time we have had 7 of our guys commit to play college baseball (1 being at the Division 1 level) as Juniors with more to come. Although I’m gone for the summer my job is not done. We have guys that are on the bubble and I’ll continue to work for them and make calls for them throughout the summer. Good luck and love y’all!
