The scripture talks about how God has already blessed us, already forgiven us, already favored us, and already accepted and approved us. He’s not waiting to do it; He’s already done it. There are blessings with your name on them.

Laura Myra Holifield Malley, born July 11, 1954, a lifelong resident of Pearl River, La passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026 after a long battle with congestive heart failure. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, a woman of deep faith, and a caring presence to all who knew her. A dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Pearl River, LA., her life was centered around her family and her church. She never missed an opportunity to celebrate the people she loved.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Darrell Malley Sr.; her parents, Vander and Margaret Holifield; and her siblings Mary Sawyer and Richard Holifield. She is survived by her two sons, Darrell “DJ” Malley, Jr. (Sara) and Stephen Malley (Lesli); her grandchildren, Brett Malley, Bo Malley, Claire Malley, and a fourth grandchild expected in July; her siblings Allen Holifield and Leonard Holifield; and her lifelong friend Cindy Stevens who was like a sister to her; along with extended family and many dear friends. Although she will forever be missed and cherished by all she leaves behind, we are comforted in knowing she is now in the presence of our Lord and savior and no longer suffering from her bodily ailments.
Visitation will be held at Williams Funeral Home on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 5 pm to 8 pm and again on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 10 am until Funeral service at 11 am. Interment to follow at Pearl Hickory Cemetery, Pearl River, LA. Brother Jakob Harris officiating.
