As I have settled into my role as GM of AWL, I have taken time to review back footage of previous events and studied the history of AWL, learning its humbled beginnings that have led us to the here and now in Pickens SC.

One individual has repeatedly stuck out (not in a good way) throughout the 5 years and that is your current 2X AWL Heavyweight Champion, The “Italian Steel” Don Furio!

I have learned that throughout much of his AWL success as well as success elsewhere, like his “unmasking” on WWE SmackDown, and most recently his AWL Title defense victory over a 15 year WWE Star…HEATH, there have always been shenanigans involved!

Now, with his “support Brothers”, Chris Valo and Tommy K'Jango, AKA “THE STANDARD, by his side I expect that those shenanigans will continue.

The Soul Patrol have been victimized by The Standard a few times with the most recent coming out of High Stakes where they lost an opportunity to become AWL Tag Team Champions at the hands of Standard interference.
Gavin Tyler has also been a victim to their attacks, theft and disrespect.

So it only makes sense that I as GM, having heard the battle cry from the AWL fans who are tired of the shenanigans and tired of the disruptions of business caused by The Standard create a day of reckoning so to speak!

Therefore, on Saturday, October 10th, at The Market at the Mill Event Center at SUPER CLASH V , THE AWL (Johnson, Morgan, Tyler) VS THE STANDARD (Furio, Valo, K’Jango) will take place INSIDE A CAGE!!!!

That’s right!! A STEEL CAGE!!!!
