AMA National Dual-Sport Series

is a Recreational Charter for the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA). By Chartering with the AMA, Appalachian ADV stands with the organization to help protect motorcyclists' rights.

As an AMA Charter, we have access to award our Inner Circle and Volunteers. This year at our recent Allegheny Jamboree we awarded our friend Trever Sockman (pictured left) the Appalachian ADV Safety Award! His excellent riding knowledge & skills, leadership, and personable demeanor are very much appreciated!

Big thanks to Trever for all of his help over the years. He'll be Sweeping again out at The PA Wilds Four Tour next month but he has also helped guide rides at some of our other events! Next time you see him at one of our events give him a High-5!!!

Registration closes 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 for Wisconsin Dual Sport Riders Ride for Research! This dual-sport ride takes place in Wabeno, Wis., June 10-11. The route consists of a mix of off-road trails connected with the use of roads. These trails range from 2-track, gravel, minimal pavement and single-track sections that are optional. Are you participating in the Perry Mountain Motorcycle Club Tower Run April 21-23 in Stanton, Alabama? This sold out dual sport event has a route that consists of challenging trails that venture out on surrounding properties and National Forest roads. Registration for Durty Dabbers Great Adventure Dual Sport opens tomorrow, April 5 at 12 p.m. at https://www.durtydabbers.com/. This two-day event takes place in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania June 3-4. This route will be 100 miles through the mountains! The course consists mainly of dirt trails and roads with a very limited portion on hard top roads. Registration is now open for MTRA - Midwest Trail Riders Association Show Me 200 at https://ridemtra.com/the-show-me-200-dual-sport-and-show-me-500-adventure-ride/. This dual sport takes place May 20-21 in Bixby, Missouri. The trail, that is new for this year, consists of single-track, gravel, light blacktop and a two-track trail. Tri-County Sportsmen has been awarded as the 2022 AMA Rec Off-Road Organizer of the Year! Their AMA National Dual Sport Series event, Hammer Run, took place Nov. 5-6, 2022, in Port Elizabeth, N.J. Tri-County Sportsmen has been sanctioning AMA events since 1964!

Our Riding and Racing Program Developer, Joe Bromley, had the opportunity to present Eldin Polhamus, Tri-County Sportsmen President, with the award in New Jersey during their club party!

Joe Bromley also presented the landowners, Norm and Jamie Franckle, with the 2022 AMA Club Service Award! Hammer Run begins on their property allowing for over 700 entries a day to park and camp there. Norm and Jamie also cater the Saturday dinner and have a bonfire with live music after a day of riding.
