After further investigation into our rough ending at the Magic Mile, we’ve determined the cause and assessed the damage. Unfortunately, we’ve made the difficult decision that we will be out for the remainder of the 2026 season.

But don’t worry… Baker Racing 71 will be back! 🏁🔥

We’ll be coming back next year bigger, stronger, and more determined than ever.

We can’t thank Michael Bartnicki enough for the absolute BEAST of a motor he gave us. That thing has turned some hard laps through three consecutive Du Quoin Mile events, and we’re proud of everything it accomplished.

And to all of our amazing sponsors, friends, family, and supporters — THANK YOU! Your continued support means more to us than you know, and we couldn’t do this without you.

2026 may not have ended the way we wanted, but this is far from over.

A weekend full of racing, memories, and plenty of moments worth capturing! 🏁❤️

Here’s a look back at this weekend with Baker Racing.

Last night didn’t go quite as planned. We had an incredible starting spot—our first-ever front-row start in the main event—and we were ready to make the most of it.

Unfortunately, after rolling into turn one, we felt a terrible vibration and immediately lost power. With the oil pressure issues we’ve been battling, I knew right away that the motor had let go. That ended our night early and, unfortunately, most likely brought our season to an end as well.

It’s not how we wanted to finish, but that’s racing. Some nights you’re on top of the world, and other nights you’re loading up early.

A huge thank-you to everyone who came out last night to support the Baker Racing Team and, most importantly, to support me. To everyone in the stands, everyone who helps in the shop, our sponsors, and everyone who has cheered us on throughout the season—we truly couldn’t do this without you!

We’ll figure out where we go from here. 🏁❤️
