I’ve been getting a lot of "advice" from keyboard warriors lately about how I hunt squirrel. Apparently, I’m "cheating" because I prefer a shotgun over a .22 rifle this time of year.

But here is the reality of the woods in July: The leaves are thick as a brick wall. When you fire a tiny rimfire bullet through that, you’re often just guessing where it lands—or worse, risking a deflection. That isn’t sport; it’s a gamble.

Real woodsmanship is about the harvest and making sure you don't wound game you can't recover. My grandpa taught me to hunt with a shotgun for a reason.

You absolutely cannot make this stuff up. 💨 What happens when you mix bored Marines, a 100 MPH typhoon, a bedsheet, and two cases of beer? Absolute chaos. He survived the launch off the barracks balcony, but he couldn't survive the Marine Corps paperwork. Standard military logic is undefeated! 😭💀
