It is Jase’s last day of school and 4th grade.

Today I took this pic with J because today we both had our last day at Woods 🥲.

Bittersweet..

Almost 11 years ( Jase grew in my belly and grew up here since Day 1) at this tremendous school with an outstanding community. We’ve made life long friends and gained so much from being in this space amongst his classmates, students , student-athletes and my colleagues.

We are excited for our next chapter at Ravenscroft yet Woods Charter will always be near and dear to our hearts.

The start of a new chapter for these outstanding student-athletes. Today we held signing day for Sydney, Anna and Maya . All three athletes will be competing at the next level in their respective sport.

The Numbers Behind the Dream of being a college student-athlete. According to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), approximately 8 million students participate in high school sports in the United States each year. Of these, only about 495,000, or roughly 6%, will go on to compete at NCAA schools and roughly 83,000 for the NAIA.

“The Track & Field team concluded its season in the State Championships on Friday in Greensboro. They were lead by record-breaking performances by Anna Peeler in the 3200 (12:39, 8th place — the final distance event record she had yet to break), Ezra Roebuck in the 400 (50.89, 9th place), and the 4x400 team of Ezra, Wyatt, Jackson, and Dylan (3:33.05, good for 6th place).

The 4x800 team of Dana, Dara, Sofia, and Michaela for placing seventh overall. Michaela also broke the 2:40 barrier in her final high school race, running 2:38. “ - Coach TJ

The team had amazing season despite fighting through extreme adversity.

Big thanks to Coach Tommy Johnson, Coach Jessica Schulman, Coach Richard Nuss, and our amazing parent/guardians and faculty that supported the team throughout the entire season. It takes a village and this our village is strong :).
