Japan Karate-Do Genbu-Kai of Kansas is closed today in observance of Independence Day! Have a fun and safe holiday with family and friends.

Safe travels and good luck to everyone participating in the Genbu-kai Karate of Pennsylvania 44th Annual Event. We look forward to a great weekend of training, competition, and fellowship with many of our Demura Ha Sh*to Ryu Karate Do Genbu Kai family.

Japanese Food Night was a success!

Thank you to Sensei James Otter and Sempai Cindy Otter for putting together a flavorful menu of rice, seaweed, sushi rolls, gyoza, soba noodles, mochi, edamame, miso soup, tonkatsu, and Pocky.

What a fun night of trying new things and spending time together as a dojo family.

REMINDER: Tomorrow night, June 15 6:30pm, is our Japanese Food Night at the dojo. It is open to ALL students at no cost. There will be a variety of appetizer/finger food portions such as rice, soup, noodles, seaweed, sushi, etc... for everyone to try.

There will be ONE Juniors class for beginning and advanced students from 5:30--6:30pm. If you're going to stay for food afterwards, please bring clothes to change into so that you do not get food on your gi.

🇺🇸 We Need YOU on Memorial Day 🇺🇸 Please help us honor deceased service members by placing flags at 6AM and retiring them at 4PM @ Highland Park Cemetery- 2025 S. Broadway St., Pittsburg, KS. McDonald’s breakfast provided (sandwich and a drink) and Domino’s Pizza for volunteers after flags are retired. This longstanding tradition has been viewed by thousands through the years, and it’s only possible by the help of volunteers. Thank you for your consideration, and we hope to see you Monday!
