At this point I’ve stopped fighting it.
Some people are called to medicine.
Some people are called to ministry.
Apparently I was called to squats, emotional intelligence, protein intake, and aggressively loving my wife 😌
And honestly?
That feels right.
Because lifting taught me more than how to build muscle.
It taught me discipline.
Confidence.
How to take up space without apologizing for it.
How to stop shrinking myself for people who were uncomfortable with strength.
And being loved well?
That changed everything else.
That’s a huge part of Phoenix Rising.
Not just building stronger bodies—but building lives that actually feel aligned with who you are.
So no, I may not know my “higher purpose”…
but I do know I’m happiest lifting heavy, loving deeply, and being exactly who I am.
Seems close enough.
