Rilynn Hawk (2030) Sending a line drive back up the middle for a single. The utility player went 3-6 in her first game back from injury and leads the team with a .727 OBP.

Claire Osche (2031) takes a hard line drive right back at the mound, gets knocked off her feet, and STILL manages to make the out!

Brianna Jenkins (2030) had one of her best weekends as a member of the team. The RHP was commanding the strike zone with all of her pitches over 12.2 inning in 4 games, including a CG in the championship. She recorded 14 K’s while giving up only 5 ER’s for a 2.63 ERA.

Grace Caudill (2030) with her 2nd OTF HR of the tournament in the semifinal game. The Catcher has been showing off her power all year while batting clean up, leading the team in BA, hits, xbh and HRs. The centerfielder made a heroic effort trying to make the catch, running into the fence at full speed. She got up and was able to run off the field.

Grace Caudill (2030) started the weekend off strong with this bomb in her first at bat of the weekend that cleared the centerfield fence by at least 30 feet. The Catcher wouldn’t be done for the tournament though…

GRAVEYARD GAMES CHAMPIONS

How do you even begin to sum up a weekend like this into one post?!

To say I’m proud of these girls would be an understatement. What we witnessed this weekend was something special, and these girls earned EVERY bit of it.

OTF home runs, double plays, clutch hits, unbelievable catches, dominating pitching, and some of the most exciting softball we have played this season. But what made this weekend so incredible wasn’t just the big plays. It was the fact that every single girl contributed.

Every girl had a moment. Every girl played a part. And when one needed a little extra, the other nine were right there to pick her up.

These girls battled through every inning, fought for every out, and refused to let up. They never gave up, never backed down, and played with the kind of heart, grit, and determination that you simply cannot teach.

They trusted each other, believed in each other, and played for something bigger than themselves.

And THAT is what makes this team so special.

The talent on this roster is undeniable, but the heart these girls have is something else entirely. They showed up this weekend with one goal, and they weren’t leaving without accomplishing it.

This wasn’t one player carrying a team. This was TEN girls coming together and proving just how dangerous they can be when they’re all firing on all cylinders.

There is nothing better than watching a group of girls who work so hard finally see it all come together.

So incredibly proud of this team, the fight they showed, and the way they represented Steel City Athletics.

UNDEFEATED. UNSTOPPABLE. CHAMPIONS.
