Don't be scared of trad climbing - come take our workshop on Halloween weekend, lead by coach Scott! This in-depth clinic will cover traditional climbing equipment, placement, anchors, and leading. Learn how to use and trust “trad” climbing gear like the pros!

Students will learn the skills to safely and confidently place and evaluate traditional climbing gear, how to make traditional "SERENE" anchors, how to lead traditional climbs, and the basics of single-pitch traditional climbing. Feeling stuck, intimidated, or simply looking to level up your climbing? Join coaches Damu and Logan for an 8 week Bouldering Training Camp built for climbers looking to see measurable progress and learn new training tactics.

This program starts and ends with a proper pre- and post-assessment, so you'll see exactly how far you've come. Your cohort will train together and everyone will get a personalized training plan with supplemental training assignments between classes. We'll work with you to identify your strengths, weaknesses, and climbing goals. From there, our coaches design a training curriculum built on the latest training methods, focusing your time and effort where they'll pay off the most.

Check out the awesome upgrades to our South Side bathrooms! Both downstairs bathrooms got new tile around the sink & foot washing station, new mirrors, fresh paint in the locker room, and the women’s room got new lights in the showers. Everyone loves a nice, clean bathroom (and remember - nobody loves climbing shoes in the bathroom)!

ASCEND South Side's padded flooring is getting a foam-lift! Flashed will do their best (as they always do) to work fast and stealthy, so as to minimize any disruptions to your climbing ambitions. Throughout this week, they'll be replacing foam in key sections all around the gym, which means that relatively small sections will be under repair at time. Rinse and repeat a few dozen times, and boom, we got ourselves some dope pads to fall on!

We don't have an exact schedule, so we all have to remain flexy while Flashed does their thing. Thank you for your patience!
