We formed this team in 2022, built it all from scratch and that’s where we named as Pitt Ryders… our team is all the power pack team. We won our very first league in that year. From then till now, everyone in the team has evolved a lot, each player has their own strengths and styles which makes our team so unique. Since 2022 we have made it in the finals of all the leagues, even if we lost or won always are the table toppers. The 2024 summer will always be a successful summer, by winning both the PPCL and WCL / PSL cups. Kudos to all my players👏🏼👏🏼… Apart from the matches, we made a tight bond between the players. Now we are more like a Family…🤗

The problem with women's cricket in Pittsburgh and around the world has always been lack of exposure and tournaments. WCL has given Willow Warriors that much needed exposure. We, Willow Warriors, look forward to the summer every year and the PCL Women's league plays an important part. A big thank you to WCL / PCL for organizing this tournament and giving our players a chance to do so.
The commitment that my team had to block out these summer months to ensure that everyone was available to play this tournament is extraordinary. I cannot appreciate my team members' willingness to practice almost every single day after work on weekdays and on weekends. I cannot be more proud of my team and the effort they put in for every single practice and game. Most of my team have not played cricket for more than 1 year and it is so heartening to see how we have improved over the course of this past year and this tournament. We did not have any specific aim when we registered to play in this tournament; we simply wanted to give our best in every single game and we did exactly that. We might have lost in the finals, but I know my team put up a hard fight and they are winners in my eyes. Congratulations to Pitt Ryders for winning the tournament.
I am looking forward to playing this tournament again next year. Willow Warriors will be back stronger next year.
