Dacie R Bridge, Bridge Fitness and Nutrition, LLC I help health-driven people build muscle, support metabolism, and improve gut function by correcting lifestyle and nutrition driving their symptoms.

I prioritize energy balance, stress management, and structured training so everything works together. Most of the clients I work with are not beginners. They already strength train. They track their food. They’re consistent, motivated, and willing to make real lifestyle changes. Yet despite “doing everything right,” they’re still dealing with issues like chronic bloating or digestive discomfort, brain fog and/or low energy, food reactivity that seems to come out of nowhere, poor training return on effort, and frustrating plateaus in body composition. If that sounds familiar, you’re NOT broken. You’re likely dealing with a mismatch between training load, nutrition, stress, and physiology. That’s where my work comes in. I don’t approach gut health, metabolism, or hormones as isolated problems. In my experience, persistent gut symptoms are rarely fixed by adding more supplements, drinking detox teas, or chasing the “perfect” elimination diet. These approaches often manage symptoms while ignoring the underlying drivers. Instead, I focus on identifying and correcting the root cause of your gut and metabolic concerns. I coach from the intersection of: physiology, systems biology, real-world behavior, and long-term sustainability. This means I care less about trends and more about why your body is responding the way it is, what signals are being misread or overwhelmed, and how to restore function without over complication. Precise, but also practical. Clinical, but approachable. Data-informed, not data-obsessed. Working with me requires consistency, curiosity, and a willingness to look beyond surface-level solutions. I’ll guide the process, but lasting change depends on addressing the factors driving the symptoms in the first place. If you value understanding why your body is responding the way it is, and you’re open to making thoughtful adjustments over time, contact me for more information or to apply for my 1:1 coaching program.

After off handedly telling my PT I felt pulling around my abdominal surgical scar, he realized that my abdominal fascia was not moving.

He suspected that the stuck fascia was causing the hip instability, pelvic hike/rotation, low back pain, and nerve issues.

By working on the fascia I was pain free, running long distance, and lifting without issue. But then I moved back to PA.

I have haven’t been running or consistently lifting because I have been in chronic pain for over a year and its significantly affected my mental health.

A few months ago my somatic coach recommended finding a Rolfer, someone who specializes in myofascial release. Within the first session, Brian had my hips back into the normal position and I could move again pain free. Its been lifechanging.

So Karim’s hunch was right, my biomechanical issues were driven by soft tissue issues, specifically fascia, and also having hyper-mobility.

Now Im pain free, moving well, and my nervous system is finally starting to calm down.

This is perfect example of why a health journey doesn’t just involve nutrition and exercises. Its taken decades with physical therapy, the right medical diagnoses/medications, rolfing, nervous system work, nutrition, and exercise to get me to what you see.

Nothing happens overnight.

Life certainly has a way of throwing a wrench into plans. I almost didn’t make it to the FNMS event this year, after never missing one in four years.

But thanks to Sam and the team, I was able to attend nearly all of the event before heading home early for my godsons 1st birthday. Unfortunately, that meant I didn’t get a chance to catch up and get photos with everyone.

We kicked things off with a half-day of business coaching with Sam, followed by talks from some of the best coaches in the field and a panel with FNMS students.

One of the many things I love about this event is that Sam brings in other coaches to tell us about their own coaching journeys because it helps give a new perspectives on things, especially when things feel especially tough.

Joining this program four years ago was the best decision I’ve made. Not only has FNMS changed my coaching business, it’s brought me new connections in the field, lifelong friends, and a community of people who show up for each other when it matters most.

This year, more than ever, I’m grateful for all of those things 🤍

I struggled for years with my mental health due to undiagnosed ADHD and side effects from oral birth control.

But at no point during that time did my care team ask about my nutrition or explore whether nutrient deficiencies or medication side effects could be contributing to my symptoms. This was also before the role of gut health in mental health was widely recognized.

Thankfully, I now have a physician who listened to my concerns, realized I had ADHD, and has been willing to develop an integrated approach to my care that includes medication and supporting my gut health alongside nutrition, sleep, nervous system regulation, movement, and supplements when needed.

Recognizing how important integrated care like this is, I take this same approach when working with my clients. I develop programs focused on nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress management alongside and not as a replacement for the standard care their doctors provide.

By working with their medical care teams, we each do our part to support their health. This kind of collaboration should be the norm, not the exception, and that’s what I’m working to change as a health coach.

You hold the keys to open the door to change your life and health!

I am standing on the other side of that door!

Are you ready to step through? If so, Im right here waiting for you!

Let’s get started today!

What’s stopping you from doing the thing?

I initially passed on this trip to Ireland until my coach said to us “what would your 75 year old self say to you?”

That question was all I needed to hear to reverse my decision because I had already been regretting not traveling. Turns out taking the trip was the best decision I could have made for personal and professional reasons.

Over 7 days I logged 45 miles of walking, with one day being 10 miles because I decided I needed to go see the waterfall at Killarney National Park. I also hit the hotel gyms in the mornings to get my strength sessions in.

I was able to do all of that physically because I made a decision in 2015 to prioritize my health. At that time I couldn’t swing it financially and I almost said no to personal training. But despite the cost, I jumped in way over my head and it changed my life.

It’s time to stop making the excuses and take care of your health.

Will the journey be easy? No.
Do you have to make major lifestyle changes? Yes.

Right now the investment in your health may seem too expensive, too out of reach, feel like its taking too long to get results, or a time suck to do the work each day. But the cost of investing in your health now doesn’t even compare to the costs you’ll pay later due to declining health and loss of quality of life.

Stop putting your health off until later. Trust me from experience, your future self will thank you for it.

43 quietly slipped onto the scene 2 weeks ago.

Although 42 felt overwhelming at times due to the health challenges Ive previously talked about, I realized that those issues are NOTHING compared to what I COULD be dealing with had I not made the decision 11 years ago to join a gym to lose weight and improve my health.

That singular decision saved me from going down the road of more serious metabolic diseases and instead put me on a path to living a strong, healthy, and active lifestyle, where my body weathers current storms, not sinks me.

Goodbye 42! You were tough but before you go, here’s to counting the blessings from the last year and celebrating some of the fun and new adventures you brought…

•Setting new PRs in the gym and building more muscle.

•Spending time in Pittsburgh with friends and family going to hockey games, fundraising galas, yoga events, shows in the cultural district, my first polo match, first toga party, and first boating adventure on the Allegheny river!

•Biking the entire Montour Trail, which resulted in two of my longest rides ever at 40 miles and 55 miles.

•First time rock climbing on an adventure at the .

•Watching my best friend become a mom and becoming a Godmother!

•NC adventures visiting friends, attending our event, and going to the NC Renaissance Faire where I got that awesome feather headpiece!

•Playing tour guide for my DC friends who came to visit Pittsburgh!

•Celebrating my cousin getting married.

•Slowing down (as much as I can 🤣) by chasing more sunrises and sunsets, spending quiet nights by the fire, listening to live music, trying new foods, watching fireworks year round, and even reading some books!

•Attending programs at church that brought new friends.

•Buying an obscene number of plants.

Sláinte 43! You’re going to be quite a year!

I'm excited to be kicking off the Spring Seminar Series at the Gestalt Institute of Pittsburgh with my seminar on the role of the gut, the gut microbiome, and nutrition in mental health. If you are or know someone who is a LPC, Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist and are interested in attending, you can register here: https://gestaltpittsburgh.org/seminars/

Note that this seminar is intended to provide an introductory awareness on the links between the gut, gut microbiome, and nutrition in mental health to help Gestalt providers identify holistic strategies that may be beneficial in supporting their client’s/patient’s clinical and therapeutic treatments, particularly in cases where treatment resistance is occurring. These strategies are not intended to be interpreted as a diagnosis, cure, or treatment for any medical disease, illness, injury, or ailment, as these would require clinical intervention.

Want to improve your mental health? Start with the food choices you make!

Without key amino acids, vitamins, and minerals, we can’t make the neurotransmitters that help regulate our mood, circadian rhythm, gut function, and more!

In turn, we need a healthy gut to transport those nutrients to where they need to go.

The food we eat directly impacts our mood, appetite, sleep, and the food choices we make because its all connected.

If you want to see long term sustainable change in your health you just cant look at one piece.
