I feel like these days people know this is not going to work. No I haven't practiced the fancy kicking styles in years but I still kick hard. It had no effect.
I love all martial arts, even the less effective ones, but if youre teaching this as functional knife defense, youre a McDojo teaching bs and giving false confidence. Not sorry. This is a show move for the movies.

Picked this up from Dylan Royce a while back and immediately tried it in class with the more experienced. This is a variation of the scissor sweep when the top person has a knife. I love it. Its great.
Yes, Mary Ellen finished with a combination of Rich Dimitri's shredder, and tickling.

💥Here we apply, Sipa, a linear stomp like kick from Dumog to our BJJ scissor sweep to help us when up against a wall.

🤔Why not just sweep the other way?
As the saying goes, In a real situation we wont rise to our expectations, but fall to the level of our training. I know you train both sides. Right? But you likely favor one over the other...
In addition, we end up where we end up. "The trap doesnt chase the mouse."

Right now everyone must know the neurological damages these devices do to us and I am quite amazed at how kids still get these devices and are allowed to spend hours upon hours a day on them.
Then you have the straight up danger. Ive been following this type of thing for a while and Roblox is definitely a hot spot, but it is certainly not the only one.
PDS tries to cover the full spectrum from fi***rm retention to recognizing abuse but I must admit it is very difficult to keep up with online safety. I highly recommend you attend this event if possible or do a little research on the darkness that Roblox truly is.
We brought our unknowning children into this world and it is our responsibility to keep up with modern-day threats and to keep them safe.

💯 •100% sweep, from guard, weapons based environment.

•The 100% sweep in wrestling has its name for a reason, but i call the version from guard the 90% because a lot is different from the ground. From the ground, many sport grapplers dont seem to trap the arm on the side they are sweeping, but i prefer to, otherwise id call it the 80% sweep. In addition, controlling the hands becomes a much higher priority when there is potential for weapon involvment.

Every time there is a BJJ self-defense video and the person is on their back, they start off great using their legs and feet but then they use the control to go into some sort of arm bar or sport submission. I just think that's horrible advice.
Is your goal to get into a match with a bigger, stronger, and crazier person than yourself or is your goal to get home safely to your loved ones?
