Our Pittsburgh Hardball Academy softball players had a great practice yesterday at Carnegie Mellon University! 🥎

Our student-athletes had the opportunity to train at CMU's indoor field house, getting in valuable work as they prepare for their final tournament of the fall season.

A special thank you to Carnegie Mellon University Softball Head Coach Monica Harrison for helping make this opportunity possible and welcoming our girls into the facility!

A great day of career exploration at DMI Companies!

Today, our Pittsburgh Hardball Academy student-athletes participated in DMI Companies' Manufacturing Day as part of our FOCUS program!

Our students had the opportunity to tour an active manufacturing facility, participate in hands-on activities, and learn firsthand about the many career pathways available in the manufacturing industry.

The day also featured special guest speakers Ryan Shazier, former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker, and Joel Bernstein of BEAM Collaborative, who shared valuable insights and experiences with our student-athletes!

Experiences like these are an important part of our mission to expose young people to new opportunities, broaden their perspectives, and prepare them for success beyond the field.

A huge thank you to DMI Companies for hosting such an impactful event, and to Ryan Shazier and Joel Bernstein for taking the time to connect with and inspire our young people!

Thank you to Coach John Bates of Rust College Baseball for making the trip all the way from Mississippi to Pittsburgh to spend time with our student-athletes!

Coach Bates shared his personal journey, offered valuable insight into the college recruiting process, and spoke with our players about what it takes to succeed at the next level. He also spent time evaluating our student-athletes during a workout.

We appreciate Coach Bates for taking the time to invest in our young people and help us continue creating opportunities for exposure, access, and development through baseball.

Today, Pittsburgh Hardball Academy student leaders participated in the Project Impact: Student Impact Alliance Fall Conference at Point Park University!

This year's conference, themed “Making Change for Community Good,” brought together young leaders from across the region for a day focused on leadership, civic engagement, community service, and making a positive impact.

Through interactive workshops, collaborative activities, and meaningful conversations, our student leaders explored the importance of embracing diverse perspectives, using their voices, and creating lasting change in their communities.

Thank you to Point Park University and the Project Impact team for their continued partnership and commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders.

At Pittsburgh Hardball Academy, our mission extends far beyond the baseball field. Opportunities like these are an important part of developing well-rounded student-athletes who are prepared to lead both on and off the field.

We’re excited to introduce a Fueling Station at the Pittsburgh Hardball Training and Education Center!

Student-athletes now have free access to protein bars, healthy snacks, drinks, and other grab-and-go options to help them stay fueled before and after training.

It’s another way we’re continuing to build an environment that supports our athletes beyond what happens on the field.
