Yesterday, Montour girls’ soccer player Irelynn Hobbs announced her decision to continue her soccer and academic careers at the University of Pittsburgh.

As of right now, Central Catholic’s current football players have recorded over 225+ offers. 200+ of those offers are from Division I schools. Five of those players are currently committed to FBS schools. When you look at these numbers, it’s insane. 📸🏈

Earlier today, Peters Township volleyball player Alex Knox announced her decision to continue her academic and volleyball career at the University of Pittsburgh. Knox also plays for the U19 National Team 🇺🇸 and for 3DGE Volleyball. She helped the Indians win the WPIAL 3A Girls Volleyball Title last school year.

PIAA 3A BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP: (3-2) Bermudian Springs secured its second state title in program history after defeating (7-2) South Park yesterday, 1-0. Bermudian Springs scored their only run in the second inning when Brodie Ferrebee hit a shallow ball to right-center field, allowing Jaxsyn Stottlemyer to score from third base. 📸⚾️

PIAA 2A SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP: (7-3) Laurel wins its first ever PIAA Softball Title after defeating (7-4) Chartiers-Houston this afternoon, 7-1. For the Spartans, Lexi Krol recorded two RBIs while Maddie Evans and Haley Balcom both had two hits. Riley Balcom pitched a complete game for the Spartans. Laurel ended the season with an overall record of 21-6. 📸🥎

FLIP ALERT: It’s been announced today that Central Catholic cornerback Zachary Gleason Jr. is now committed to West Virginia University. Gleason was committed to Penn State since March. He took a visit to WVU less than two weeks ago. Gleason joins Western Pennsylvania natives Carter Bonner and Dajour Webb as all three of them are now a part of the Mountaineers 2027 recruiting class. 📸🏈

2026 PIAA 1A SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT: Two days ago, (7-1) Union Area defeated (5-1) Berlin Brothersvalley, 8-6, in the Semifinals. The Scotties were trailing 4-0 in the game until the team exploded in the top of the sixth inning scoring seven runs. 📸🥎
